Projects
A story written by Ysella Fulton Slavin in the LAHC dean's office on my sabbatical project surrounding student success and retention in 1st semester language classes. I am also closely comparing modalities and session lengths as part of this work.
You'll find a current project on this page, a couple of fun interviews at ACC, and instructional materials,

A conversation with Honors students and Dr. Gary Moreno from El Centro

An interview with ACC's Teaching and Learning division surrounding what teaching means to me.

This is the library guide Mary Havens, our subject librarian at ACC, created for my Honors class I developed in the Fall of 2022. We could store articles, film links, and other open access materials here.

Volver, a film by Almodóvar
This is the first instructional blog I created in 2006 to enrich our conversation class beyond the four walls. Blogging afforded the students more discussion time while allowing them time to reflect and focus on the written form. All films were made and produced in Spanish speaking countries. This is similar to the discussion boards we use now.
